The length of each entry will be approximately pages, typed or handwritten. Although you will write and turn in two responses each week, I will read only one. You choose the response you like best, type it up, and post it to the discussion spot on our course Wiki.
The other one you will simply hand it so they can be counted and checked. I use contract grading for this element; students who complete all the assignments on time receive a B; less work, a C; excellent quality, perhaps extra work, an A.

Your papers will not be graded. Your grade is based on the portfolio. I will, however, give you a sense of where you stand at mid-term by giving a mid-term grade on the portfolio; I will notify anyone who is failing in advance of the drop deadline.
